Well I have read & also checked website (Cricut.com) & I believe that the vinyl they are talking about that it cuts its their own. The one they sell. I dont know if they are specially designed by them for their C.E. You could try buying it once & see if its like any other vinyl so that you buy a similar one at w/e other location & probably cheaper
