It really depends on whether you’ll get your money worth or will it just take up space? A Silhouette is a digital cutter where you cut designs from your computer instead of from cartridges. I also have a cuttlebug for embossing and die cutting. The downside of die cuts on the cuttlebug is you can’t change sizes. You CAN buy dies that come in different sizes. Go to a local scrapbook store and see what types of toys they have. They even may let you try them out.

What is every thing you need to use it.. mine came with 3 mats. i know you need cartridges what else do you need? do you need like ink and stuff?

I am getting ready to buy a cricut expression & I keep seeing SCAL program on yahoo answers here what is this used for and where do i buy it.I really know nothing the machine i seen a infomercial on TV and thought it would be good to use for crafts anyone who can give me tips would be appreciated thanks.

Like a lot of people I am doing some research about these machines. I’ve come across one that comes with inks, and was wondering if somebody can explain to me what the use of the inks are for. Im guessing its to draw out and image, but then is it still cut out too, I’m confused please help……………..please only answer if you know what you are talking about, not if you just think you do! Thanks in advance!
