It really depends on whether you’ll get your money worth or will it just take up space? A Silhouette is a digital cutter where you cut designs from your computer instead of from cartridges. I also have a cuttlebug for embossing and die cutting. The downside of die cuts on the cuttlebug is you can’t change sizes. You CAN buy dies that come in different sizes. Go to a local scrapbook store and see what types of toys they have. They even may let you try them out.

Depends. What were you thinking of doing with it?
I haven’t made a scrapbook page in over a year. I do make a lot of cards, glass etching, t-shirts both with fabric and a “screenprint” type with paint, even cake decorating. I try to squeeze as much use out of something if I can. In my area people have Expressions on craigslist for less than $200. Of course I would try it out before handing over the money. Plus there are two softwares that let you use your cricut to cut out computer fonts and images. I have the Sure-Cuts-A-Lot one and have had no problems with my machine, or cricut design studio.
No this machine is for someone who scrapbooks often. Look into a Sizzix machine-joann’s fabric puts them on sale- you can use other die cut brands with it, like Cuttlebug.
